Calls for Service

June 22

Corporal Jacob Hamby received a call for service at State Route 14 in Pomona for a report of property damage.

Deputy Austin Ryan took a report of stealing.

Deputy Avery Stolba conducted a warrant arrest at an address on Private Road 2012, West Plains.

Deputy Stolba responded to a residence on County Road 4350, Pomona, for a person who had contacted the suicide hotline. They transported the individual to Ozarks Healthcare for further treatment.

Deputy Stolba conducted a warrant arrest for an individual on CC highway. 

Deputy Dylan Cook responded to a suspicious vehicle parked outside Pleasant Hill Church located on County Road 6300, West Plains. This investigation is still ongoing.

Deputy Kory Taylor responded to a residence on Private Road 1774 in West Plains regarding a report of gunshots.

Sergeant Travis Weaver responded to Grace Avenue in West Plains for a juvenile runaway. After further investigation, he located the juvenile at a residence within the city of West Plains. The juvenile's parents did not wish for a referral to the juvenile office completed at this time.

June 23

Cpl. Zachary Hodo completed VIN identification for two vehicles.

Deputy Ryan responded to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains referencing an animal bite.

Deputy Taylor received a call for service regarding a missing person.

June 24

Deputy Nicholas Barslow took a report of harassment in the area of State Route AA, Willow Springs. His investigation found a citizen exercising their First Amendment Rights. No charges will be filed.

Deputy Leekota Amore responded to Henry's RV park in West Plains for a VIN verification.

Deputy Stolba contacted three individuals walking on the train tracks next to Independence Dr, West Plains. He arrested one of the individuals and transported them to the West Plains Police Department for five outstanding arrest warrants.

June 26

Deputy Ryan reported his involvement in a motor vehicle accident involving a deer.

Deputy Stolba conducted a search warrant at a residence on County Road 5800, Willow Springs, for an individual who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The Howell County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team, Operation Relentless Pursuit, and South Central Drug Task Force assisted with the search warrant.

Task Force, executed an arrest warrant for a wanted person in Willow Springs. 

Deputy Vice responded to the area of County Road 3900, Willow Springs regarding a domestic altercation. A traffic stop was conducted related to the domestic call, leading to the arrest of the suspect.

Deputy Tyler West responded to Ozarks Healthcare Emergency Room for a report of an assault from the area of County Road 6650. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the prosecuting attorney's office.

June 27

Corporal Brandon Barnes received a call for service in Caulfield regarding an individual threatening and keeping them out of their residence. When officers arrived, they heard a loud percussion-like sound that resembled a firearm being discharged. They responded further into the property and observed an individual exit the residence and detained them. During the investigation they found the individual in possession of a large amount of a crystal-like substance while inside the residence. They transported the individual to Howell County Jail

pending formal charges.

Deputy West responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the area of US Highway 160, Caulfield. They arrested the suspect and transported them to the Howell County Jail. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.

June 28

Sergeant Weaver responded to the area of County Road 5710 in Willow Springs for the report of a disturbance. He arrested one for property damage and transported them to the Howell County Sheriff's Office.
