Calls for Service
July 24
Corporal Brian Jackson received a call of a physical domestic involving a firearm that took place at a residence located on County Road 3080, Mountain View. He arrested two individuals and forwarded a report to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney for domestic assault and armed criminal action.
Deputy Robert Malone received a call to assist Department of Family Services with an investigation located on County Road 7100.
Deputy Malone responded to a residence on State Route 14 for an agency assist with Department of Family Services.
Deputy Malone responded to County Road 9640 for a civil disturbance call.
July 25
An individual turned in a stolen firearm to the Howell County Sheriff's Office. The firearm is part of an ongoing investigation for the West Plains Police. Cpl. Logan Wake turned over the case and evidence to West Plains Police Department.
July 26
Deputy Jacob Hamby responded to County Road 6550, West Plains to meet with Children's Division for a report of a sex offense. This case will be sent to the Howell County Investigations Division for follow-up.
Deputy Hamby received a call to State Route K, West Plains, for a report of trespassing.
Corporal Seth Smith received a call of a verbal domestic on US Highway 160, West Plains. This incident is considered closed.
Deputy Tessa Jens responded to a residence on State Route K in reference to an individual reporting being shot at by a neighbor. After attempting contact with the suspect party, they failed to answer the door and the Howell County S.W.A.T. Team responded. They apprehended the suspect and took them into custody. Charges will be sent to the Howell County Prosecutor for review.
July 27
Deputy Devon Mendenhall received a stealing call at a business on County Road 6460, West Plains. He reviewed surveillance footage and identified the suspects and vehicles at the business. At this time, this case is pending and under investigation.
Deputy Mendenhall received a report of stealing. The victim advised his prior employer refused to allow him to retrieve his property. Investigation found this to be true. A probable cause statement form will be completed and forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office.
Deputy Dakota Millard took a report of a missing person. This case is under investigation at this time.
July 30
Deputy Dylan Webb responded to a residence off State Route AD, for a report of property damage. The reporting party stated several dogs attacked and killed several of her animals. He advised the party of Judicial remedies.
Deputy Webb assisted with a report of property damage from State Route MM.
