Current events through a Christian lens

Dear Editor,
As we watch perplexing current events, I am reminded of Luke 21:26, "People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken."
However, true Christians should not be afraid because God is guiding all these situations. Meanwhile, the Almighty is judging America by giving us no escape on either hand - neither the right nor the left... no help from either Democrats or Republicans.
Additionally, God is judging His Church, just as St. Peter said... "The time has come for judgment, and it must begin with God's household. And if judgment begins with us, what terrible fate awaits those who have never obeyed God's Good News?" 1 Peter 4:17
Today, we are experiencing Amos 5:19, "It will be as though a man fled from a lion only to meet a bear, as though he entered his house and rested his hand on the wall only to have a snake bite him."
This is God's work... not mankind's! Which means we should watch and pray, "Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." Matthew 6:9-10
But most Christians don't realize that when praying the Lord's Prayer, "THY KINGDOM COME," they are actually asking for God's final judgment to begin! Why? Since light has absolutely no fellowship with darkness (Ephesians 5:11), God's Kingdom will not come until this wicked world is condemned! Consequently, when we say, "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven," we are praying for the advent of God's Final Judgment!
While global calamities grow more severe, the Almighty is answering 2000 years of accumulated prayers, "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." So, let us not be afraid of the Heavenly Father's predetermined will... but rather intercede for those who are still lost and warn the sleeping Church of pending catastrophes to come.
