Community Voices: Historical Society Museum Open for Bear-ly Spring Festival

During this year's Bear-ly Spring Festival, the Willow Springs Historical & Genealogical Society Museum will be open and ready for visitors throughout the day on Saturday, April 12 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The museum is located at 211 N. Harris Street, just north of the 4-way stop and directly across from the Willow Springs Public Library.

Take a few minutes to walk through exhibits that tell the story of Willow Springs- from its early growth and railroad days to the lasting impact of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Visitors can explore a wide range of displays covering town history, local schools, family histories, and cemetery records, along with a large collection of historic Willow Springs photographs. Be sure to also view the newest U.S. Forest Service exhibit, featuring historic photographs, field equipment, and the area's connection to the Mark Twain National Forest.

If you're already out enjoying the festival, it's an easy way to add a little local history to your day. Historic postcard sets will also be available for sale at the museum.

We invite you to stop by and take a look!
