Matthew David Reihm

Matthew David Reihm was born June 10th, 1991, at West Plains, Missouri to Matthew W. Reihm and Sharon May Burns. Matthew passed away at his home on the evening of August 3rd, 2025, he was 34 years old.

 

Matthew is survived by his fiancé Kaitlynn Young. His children Matthew, Jayden, Heavenly, Aubree and Brantley Reihm. His Father, Matt Reihm and stepmother Deanna West Plains, MO. His mother, Sharon Burns and stepfather Walter "Bubba" Burns, Winona, MO. One sister, Brittany Fettig and husband Bradley, Alton, MO. Stepsister Deshay Schnell, Torgtion, Wyoming. Two brothers: Austin Reihm and wife Jessica Oldtown, Florida and Lane Reihm and fiancé Kiersten Enid, Oklahoma. Two stepbrothers: Josh Sims, West Plains MO and Ryan Burns, Winona, MO. As well as several nieces & nephews and many friends.

 

Matthew grew up on his parents' farm in Rover, Missouri and graduated from Alton High School. Throughout his childhood his years Matthew was ornery and "all boy" and he enjoyed riding his dirt bikes and four wheelers and especially picking on his siblings. From a young age Matthew was a hard worker, and he enjoyed working from helping his father in the hayfield and cutting firewood to working at Rivers Edge Restaurant in Thomasville, MO as his first job. What Matthew enjoyed doing most though was working in the woods as logger as he had done throughout his entire adult life. In his free time Matthew enjoyed working on the farm alongside his beloved friend and mentor Scotty Redman. Aside from working which brought him the most fulfillment, Matthew also enjoyed bow hunting, being at the lake fishing, spending time with his family, attending church at Rocky Creek Worship Center and building his relationship with his Savior Jesus Christ.

 

Matthew is proceeded in death by his grandparents Owen Reihm and David and Virginia May.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 23, at the Church of God of Prophecy, Winona, Mo, beginning at 2 pm.
