Linda S. Wake

Linda S. Wake, 74, of Willow Springs, passed away on December 30, 2023, at West Vue Nursing Home with her family at her side.  
Linda was born on January 30, 1949, to Marvin & Maxine Thornton.  In March of 1976 she married Doyle Wake.  They had 36 beautiful years together before Doyle’s passing in May 2012.  Linda was a Registered Nurse who had practiced in the area for 25 plus years.  Linda was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, who had a beautiful smile.  She was an intelligent lady who worked hard and helped numerous families and patients throughout her nursing career.  The number of people she had an impact on is insurmountable.  Linda loved her family more than words can express.   
She is survived by; her son, Brian & Jeannie Hoyle; daughter Tilithia (Tilly) & Kenny Labadie of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, Matt Wake of Willow Springs, Marvin Wake of Willow Springs, Brian & Patty Wake of Pheonix, Arizona, Randy & Mary Wake of Phoenix, Arizona; brother Dewayne & Edie Thornton of Pomona, sister Brenda Collins of Pomona, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.    
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Wake, her parents Marvin & Maxine Thornton of Willow Springs, brother Dwight Thornton of Willow Springs, brother-in-law Walter Collins of Pomona.  Per her wishes, her little dog Maggie’s ashes will be interred with her.
Linda will be interred next to her husband, “Doyle”, at Howell Memorial Cemetery at a date to be determined.
