James Brower passed away peacefully at his home on September 18, 2026. He was born July 15, 1938, in Olden, Missouri, to Cecil Brower and Dorothy Burgess. He was united in marriage to Barbara Douglas on February 26, 1960, in West Plains, Missouri. Together, they shared 66 years of marriage and built a life centered around family, faith, and many cherished memories. James was a hard worker who enjoyed spending his time outdoors. He loved fishing, camping, cutting wood, and gardening. One of his favorite pastimes was making and painting his own fishing lures. He also enjoyed attending gospel singings with his wife, Barbara. He was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Olden, Missouri.
