Harmon Lee Hines

Harmon Lee Hines was born on June 15, 1935, in Owensboro, Kentucky, to Harmon Leslie and Addie Lee (Burdett) Hines. He departed this life on March 31, 2026, at his home in Mountain View, Missouri.
 
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harmon and Addie Hines; one daughter, Victoria Lynn Hines; one son, David O’Malley; six grandchildren, Brandon Ledbetter, Eugene Ledbetter, Baby Girl Cook, Briar Shelton, Brandon McCallum, and Brent McCallum; and ten siblings, JT Hines, Leslie Hines, Thomas Hines, Gordan Hines, Virginia Willyard, Pauline Hamilton, Eva McCarthy, Martine Claffy, Opal Greer, and Betty Wilson.
 
He is survived by his wife, Loetta Hines of the home; his children, Cynthia Keiser (David) of Frisco, TX, Dennis Pollard of Cuba, MO, Barbara McCallum (Jim) of Cuba, MO, Pamela Jones of Cuba, MO, Susan Charles (Don) of Mountain View, MO, Jennifer Yocham of West Plains, MO, Theodore Ledbetter Jr. (Sandy) of West Plains, MO, Amy Ledbetter (Danny) Hartshorn, MO, Riley Ledbetter of Mountain View, MO, Leslie Ledbetter (Matilda) Brawley, CA, and Robert Ledbetter (Melissa) Raymore, MO; eighteen grandchildren, Abigayle, Kenny, Tammi, Jeremy, Crystal, Deidra, Randle, Casey, Brennon, Dakota, Joshua, Ethan, Cassandra, Christina, Trenton, Josh, and Tori; and he was blessed with 33 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
 
Harmon was a devoted Christian. He lived a life of grounded faith, generosity, and quiet strength. He was a hardworking man who deeply loved his family and found great joy in caring for others, whether through providing for those in need during the holidays, creating special memories with his grandchildren, or sharing simple moments on the golf course. As the youngest of eleven children, he carried forward a legacy of resilience and compassion. He will be remembered for his kindness, his servant heart, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him.  
 
Funeral services were held April 6, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri, with Pastor Gene West officiating and Dakota Ledbetter reading the obituary. Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mountain View. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
