Fran Wake, 87, of Willow Springs, Missouri, departed this life on May 25, 2025, at her residence. She was born March 20, 1938, in Vanzant, Missouri, the daughter of Elza and Ann (Strong) Gasperson.
She was united in marriage to Johnny Wake on September 28, 1956, in Fresno, California. To this union two children were born, Kim and Debbie.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Barbara Atkinson, Jean Wake, and Audrey Smith; brothers, Jerry Gasperson and Paul Gasperson.
Survivors include her children, Kim (Libby) Wake and Debbie (Steve) Bryan; brother, Gerald Gasperson; grandchildren, Kyle Wake, Kameron Thomas, Steven D. Bryan, Keisha Bryan and bonus granddaughter, Jackie Herbolsheimer; great-grandchildren, Logan Bryan, Tucker Bryan, Brynlee Thomas, Everly Thomas, Gatlin Bunch, Kaylinn Bunch, and Nova White; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Fran was a Christian and loved attending Bible Study with her friends. Her family was her life and she took great joy in her grandchildren.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that her memory will live on in their hearts and in the many lives she touched throughout her journey.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at Willow Springs City Cemetery, Willow Springs, Missouri with David Lovan officiating, under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Willow Springs. Visitation was held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, at Westside Family Life Center, Willow Springs, Missouri.
