Mtn. View mayor signs proclamation for National Wreaths Across America Day

The Mayor of Mountain View, Charry McCann, signed a proclamation designating Saturday, Dec. 13 as National Wreaths Across America Day. The proclamation was signed at a recent board of aldermen meeting held on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
 
The Third Annual Wreaths Across America event will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13. The wreaths will be escorted to the Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. A ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. after loved ones and volunteers have placed wreaths on graves.
 
Mountain View is the only registered Veterans Cemetery in Howell County with the closest ones being in Springfield and Poplar Bluff. Ozark Spring Chapter, Daughters of American Revolution extended their thanks to the City of Mtn. View, the VFW Post 3009, the Mtn. View Chamber of Commerce and the Mtn. View Rotary Club for all of their support for this event.
