Mountain View Board makes offer for the position of City Administrator

The board of aldermen in the city of Mountain View have met twice since the last regular session where the new board members were sworn in.
On Tuesday, April 28, the board met in a closed session to discuss personnel, legal, and city administrator applications. As the meeting began, the agenda was amended to include, in open session, the right-of-way and excavation permit for Total High Speed LLC and the warning siren repair.
The board approved the permit for Total High Speed LLC and the repairs of the warning siren before fall. The board then entered into closed session, and upon returning to open, approved the tuition reimbursement contract for the water supervisor to get a CDL.
On Friday, May 1 the board held city administrator interviews. The meeting began at 1:00 p.m. and was a closed session meeting, returning to open session at 4:30 p.m. The board approved making an offer to Chandler Shook for the position of City Administrator with an annual salary of $70,000. Alderman Calvin Perry is noted in the minutes has leaving the meeting at 3:30 p.m.
