Ozarks Healthcare is pleased to welcome Khoa Le, MD, a board-certified general surgeon, to its surgery team in West Plains, expanding access to comprehensive surgical care for the region.
Le earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from North Dakota State University before completing his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed his general surgery residency at Saint John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan, followed by a fellowship in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery at the same institution.
Throughout his career, Le has practiced in a variety of healthcare settings, including Christus Spohn Health System in Corpus Christi, Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton, Oklahoma, and most recently as a staff physician with Rochester Regional Health System in New York.
Le was drawn to general surgery for its variety and breadth of procedures, allowing him to care for patients with a wide range of surgical needs, including hernia repair, breast surgery, colorectal surgery, and minimally invasive procedures. He has a strong interest in the future of robotic-assisted surgery and its potential to enhance outcomes and expand advanced care options in rural communities.
Originally from Minnesota, Le trained primarily in the Midwest and was drawn back to the region by its small-town atmosphere and strong sense of community. His wife is originally from Missouri, and the couple is excited to return closer to family.
Le describes his approach to patient care as approachable and patient-centered, focused on creating a comfortable environment while providing high-quality, evidence-based surgical care.
“Access to general surgery is critical for rural communities,” Le said. “Patients deserve timely care close to home, and I’m proud to be part of a team that makes that possible.”
Le is now accepting patients at Ozarks Healthcare General Surgery. For more information or to schedule an appointment, visit www.ozarkshealthcare.com or call 417-256-1774.
