Class 3 Basketball post season honors announced

The 2025-2026 Class 3 basketball came to a historic end for several area teams.
 
The Willow Springs Girls Basketball went 22-7 on their season, claiming the Class 3 District 9 Tournament. The Lady Bears season ended in the Class 3 Quarterfinals against Skyline. Post season honors: All-SCA First Team-Chloe Jones; All-SCA Second Team-Sydney Stuart; All-SCA Honorable Mention Alexis Sigman. Class 3 District 9 All-District Chloe Jones, and Alexis Sigman. Chloe Jones was named Class 3 District 9 Player of the Year, and Class 3 All State honors.
 
The Willow Springs Boys Basketball ended their season 16-11 after they fell to Thayer in the Class 3 District 9 Tournament. All-SCA Conference-Caden Lee; SCA All-District First Team-Kolby James; SCA All-District Second Team-Brady James; SCA Player of the Year-Kolby James; District Player of the Year-Kolby James; and Class 3 All-State-Kolby James.
 
The Mountain View-Birch Tree Liberty Lady Eagles were 11-17 on their season which came to an end during the second round of the Class 3 District 9 Tournament at the hands of the Thayer Lady Bobcats. Post season honors for the Lady Eagles include: Class 3 District 9 All-District Delani Ellet; All-SCA Second Team-Morgan Smith; and All-SCA Honorable Mention Delani Ellet.
 
The Mountain View-Birch Tree Liberty Eagles ended their season with a 28-4 record, Class 3 District 9 Champions and Fourth place at the Class 3 State Championships. Post season honors include:  All-SCA First Team-Parker Tune, and Alex Tune. All-SCA Second Team-Drayton Wells. SCA Honorable Mention-Paxton Hunter. Class 3 District 9 All-District-Alex Tune, Parker Tune, and Drayton Wells. Coach Justin Harrill was named Class 3 District 9 Coach of the Year.
