William Columbus Dickerson, 87, of West Plains, Mo., passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019, at St. Joseph Medical Center, Kansas City, Mo.  Bill was born Nov. 10, 1931, in Winona, Mo., to William H. and Bessie O. (Magnes) Dickerson.  He was a member of the United States Air Force from 1949-1952. 

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, former wife, June Alice Dickerson; beloved daughter, Cynthia Abeda; both parents; and 11 siblings.

He leaves behind his loving memory to his grandchildren, Jason King, Shameirah King, Jordan Abeda; great-grandchildren, Sydney King, Reese Gilbert, and Tye King; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

There are so many beautiful memories of Bill.  Not only was he a loving family-man to every member of his family, in addition he was a wonderful man to those who met him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life was held Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at 11 a.m. in Yarber Mortuary chapel, Winona, Mo.  Family received friends beginning at 10 a.m. prior to services, also at the funeral home.  Interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery, Winona, Mo., under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Winona.  Condolences may be expressed at
