VELINDA RENEA WILKINS

Velinda Renea (Pulliam) Wilkins went to her Heavenly home on July 22, 2021. She was born on April 28, 1978, to Virgil and Verla Kay (Lee) Pulliam. Velinda was a lifelong resident of Birch Tree, Missouri.

On August 9, 2003, she married Paul L. Murphy. To this union, she welcomed three children, Colby James, Clayton Dean, and Emaree Rose, and two stepchildren, Nick and Ann. On August 22, 2020, she wed Shawn D. Wilkins and to this union, she gained three stepsons Colten, Kyler, and Blaydon.

Velinda loved the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed playing games, drawing, and coloring with anyone who would join in. Velinda was very creative and crafting was her favorite thing to do. She liked going to yard sales to look for interesting and unique things to make something new out of.

Velinda is preceded in death by her father, Virgil Pulliam.

Velinda is survived by her husband, Shawn Wilkins; mother, Verla Kay Pulliam; brother, Joseph Pulliam; sisters, Valerie Sanders and Vedeana Polm; children, Colby Murphy and wife Cassidy, Clayton Murphy and fiancé Elizabeth, and daughter, Emaree Murphy; two granddaughters, Addisyn and Brinley; five stepchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

Velinda was known by many for her big caring heart. She was always ready to help her friends and family in need. She will be greatly missed by everyone she knew. Velinda's memory will live on in the hearts of her family and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2021, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri with Rusty Bland officiating. Visitation was held prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Birch Tree, Missouri. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
