WILLOW SPRINGS PUBLIC LIBRARY NEWS

We love cool weather in the Ozarks – football, hunting, bonfires, pumpkins pies (and lattes), and curling up with a book. If you sit and read for 3 hours you’ll burn s’more’s-worth of calories.

Our Big Fall Book Sale is still going. If you haven’t yet stocked up on some good reads, stop by and fill a bag for just $5.00. We have magazines too with fall decorating ideas and hunting and fishing tips. Come browse the sale. We’re open Tuesday – Friday, 10:00am – 4:30pm and Saturday 9-11am.

Middle Schoolers can check out the 2020-2021 Mark Twain Award nominees. Look for them on the “New Books” shelf. The Dog Man series by Dav Pilkey is popular with elementary students. The 9th book in the series is available now, Dog Man: Grime and Punishment.

Fans of Christian Fiction will enjoy our newest additions: Two Reasons To Run in the Pelican Harbor Series by Colleen Coble, The Christmas Swap and Happy Camper by Melody Carlson, An Amish Singing: Four Stories by Amy Clipston, The Stone Wall by Beverly Lewis, and the first two books in the Amish Greenhouse Mystery series by Wanda Brunstetter- The Crow’s Call and The Mockingbird’s Song.

We also have Danielle Steel’s latest novel, Royal, and the second volume in the Dance With Me romance series by Shelley Shepherd Gray called Take The Lead.

If you don’t have a library card, why not get one? You’ll have access to tens of thousands of books, audio books, and DVDs through the Missouri Evergreen network of libraries. If we don’t have what you want, we’ll find it at another library and have it sent here (at no cost to you). Besides books, you can get movies and seasons of your favorite TV shows on DVD to binge-watch and audio books to brighten your work commute. Library cards are free for residents within the Willow Springs city limits and only $10.00 per year for non-residents. If you check out only a couple items a year, (rather than buy them), it pays for itself and you don’t have to find more storage space. What’s not to love?
