Willow Springs Christmas Parade and activities planned for Dec. 2

On Saturday, Dec. 2, the Downtown Holli-day in Willow Springs will take place. There are many events planned for this day including:
8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. - Pancakes with Santa located at the Lions Club clubhouse at 2532 CR 5800 in Willow Springs. Admission is $5.00 per person and includes a pancake and sausage breakfast, visit with Santa and each child gets a make and take ornament. Parents are welcome to take photos with Santa. This is a joint fundraiser for the Willow Springs Lions Club and the Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce.
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. - Christmas Cookie Decorating Event located at Ozarks Sweetest Bakeshop in Willow Springs. Each participant will get to decorate four cookies and enjoy hot cocoa for $10.
11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Santa will be in downtown Willow Springs. Santa has cleared his schedule and will be in town all day, making visits to local shops and sitting in his chair under the Gazebo next to Privette Law Office to visit with any child who wants to chat with Santa. Santa’s sleigh will be making the rounds through town as well.
12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. - Free Vintage Christmas Cartoon Movie located at the Historic Star Theatre. The movie will run from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Free admission and free popcorn. Shop downtown and then take a break and enjoy a vintage Christmas cartoon movie and free popcorn while you rest.
12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. - Howell County News will have an Open House --stop in grab some light refreshments and visit with the local newspaper.
12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. - Willow Springs Arts Council will be hosting an Art Show featuring local high school art student’s work. In addition the Wreath Decorating Contest entries will be available for public voting as well as up for silent auction which will benefit the Arts Council. This will all take place upstairs at the Ferguson Building.
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. - Gingerbread House Contest will be held at the Willow Springs Church of Christ on Bolerjack Road. Entries will be accepted from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon with public viewing and judging from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
6:00 p.m. - Christmas Parade line-up begins at 5:00 p.m. with the theme of "Christmas at the Movies". Entry forms are available from the chamber office or online at wschamber.net Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entries.
Reminder: Willow Springs City ordinance does not allow dogs in town during public events. Please leave your puppies at home.
