Mtn. View sets trick-or-treat times

Trick-or-treating may take place in the City of Mountain View on October 31 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., voted the Board of Aldermen in special session last Tuesday. The Aldermen set the time for trick-or-treating each year.
Further action taken in the September 6 meeting included appointing Linda Lewis and Steven Sills to the Planning and Zoning Board. Mayor John Krasuski made the nominations, and a motion from Alderman Lindell Vandevort, seconded by Alderman Punkie Stevenson, passed unanimously.
The draft minutes of the meeting also recorded the Aldermen passing a resolution that ultimately paves the way for a liquor license at the Mountain View Municipal Golf Course. In order to obtain the liquor license, the golf course must own or lease the land, explained City Clerk Shannon Elliott. The resolution passed that night allowed for a lease between the City and the golf course.
Finally, as they are required to do biannually, the Aldermen renewed ordinances that govern conflicts of interest.
The open meeting adjourned at 6:46 p.m. with no closed session following.
