Howell County Adult Drug Court celebrates final graduate for 2022

Howell County Adult Drug Court celebrated its final graduate for 2022 on December 20. This graduate was the fifth person to graduate the program this (2022) year and the 30 to graduate since the adult drug court program began in 2012.
This young man entered the Shannon County Adult Drug Court in February 2021 and transferred to the Howell County program in November the same year after obtaining full-time employment and safe, stable housing for his family in the West Plains area. He is striving to make a success of his life and provide a better life for his family.
Drug treatment courts allow those who have appeared in the criminal justice system to have a chance for recovery. Participating in intensive substance abuse treatment, weekly supervision, monitoring, drug screens, and progress towards personal goals in education and employment are requirements of drug court participants. The Howell County Adult Drug Court program is a minimum commitment of 14 months.
