The Willow Springs School District will be hosting a candidate forum for school board candidates on March 10 at 6:00 p.m. in Grimes Auditorium. The event will be a partnership between MSBA and Bear Media Productions. Howell County News will attend and cover the forum but is not participating in the organization or execution of this event.
The Missouri State School Board Association (MSBA) will screen and moderate questions from the community. The district says there will be no cost for this service.
“MSBA will organize submitted questions by topic and review them to ensure they are relevant, applicable to all candidates, and presented in a neutral manner,” wrote superintendent Dr. Marty Spence in an email to the News.
According to Spence, questions that are, “personal, defamatory, off-topic, or directed at a single candidate will not be included.”
There will be no live Q&A during the event. No anonymous questions will be permitted.
“Only questions submitted prior to the event will be considered,” Spence wrote.
There six candidates for the three available seats on the board: incumbents Adam Webb and Matt Hobson are seeking re-election, and are joined by Michele Myers, David Baldridge, Casey McKee, and Brendon Wilson.
