Adult charges for 17-year-old who shot man with air gun

A 17-year-old West Plains resident initially called a “juvenile” in court documents is being charged as an adult in Howell County. Dallas M. Doyle is accused of shooting an adult man with an air gun over, “an earlier incident involving his grandmother and the victim,” reads the probable cause statement. 

 

Officers responded to the 600 block of Shuttee in West Plains to find a victim unresponsive suffering from multiple puncture wounds. The victim was removed from the scene in critical condition. 

 

The witness who had driven the teens to and from the scene, identified one 16-year-old and Doyle as the shooters. 

 

The victim, who remained in critical condition as of May 18, identified Doyle as one of the shooters. Doyle will be 18 in July, according to court records. 

 

On June 3, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Rizwan Ahad filed of first-degree assault- serious physical injury and armed criminal action in Howell County Courts. Both the charges are felonies. 

The accused remains in Howell County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
