West Plains R-VII School District to host smoked rib fundraiser for the Hale Family

The West Plains R-VII School District is organizing a smoked rib fundraiser to support the Hale Family as they navigate recent medical expenses. Jay Hale, longtime agriculture teacher at West Plains High School, and his family have been an important part of the school community. This event offers a chance to give back.

 

Community members can purchase a rack of smoked ribs for $25, with all proceeds benefiting the Hale Family. A total of 400 racks will be sold. Payment is due at the time of pickup.

 

Pickup Details: Saturday, June 14 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the West Plains Agriculture Building, located at 610 East Olden Street.

For those unable to attend or living out of town, monetary donations can be made through West Plains Bank and Trust.

 

"This is a great way for the community to show support for one of our own.  He is always the first in line when it comes to helping others," said Dr. Wesley Davis, Superintendent of Schools. "Jay has given so much to our students, staff, and community; now it's our turn to help him and his family. Zizzers take care of Zizzers."
