West Plains Aquatic Center to close for the season on August 18

The West Plains Aquatic Center will officially close its doors for the 2024 summer swim season on Sunday, August 18. The Aquatic Center will remain open seven days a week from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. during this final stretch, offering one last opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy the pool.

Community Services Director Todd Shanks expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to another successful season:

"We want to extend our sincere thanks to all the residents and visitors who made use of the Aquatic Center this summer. Your support makes it all worthwhile. Additionally, we want to recognize and thank our lifeguards, pool managers, and the Parks Department staff. Their hard work behind the scenes ensures the pool is operational, safe, and a fun place for everyone to enjoy."

The City of West Plains encourages everyone to take advantage of the remaining days to enjoy the Aquatic Center before it closes for the season.
