Mercy set to host second Monster Dash 5K in Mountain View

The Monster Dash 5K and Ghouls and Boos 1-mile fun run takes place Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Mountain View Liberty High School stadium located at 506. S. Pine St., in Mountain View. The entry fee for the 5K is $40. The entry fee for the 1-mile fun run is $25, and kids ages 5 and younger are free. Proceeds from the race go toward facility upgrades and new medical equipment for the Mercy St. Francis Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation center, which cares for patients recovering from heart surgery and respiratory illness.

 

For those looking to set a personal record at the 5K, the race will be professionally timed by Split Second Timing, and awards will be given to the top three finishers and the overall men and women’s winners. Participants can pick up their race packets Oct. 10 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Mercy St. Francis Hospital lobby. Festivities begin Oct. 11 at 8:00 a.m.
