Owens will be overseeing the Penmac Staffing location in West Plains, MO.

Penmac Staffing, a premier provider of staffing and human resource services, has promoted Matt Owens to branch manager of its office in West Plains.

For more than a decade, Owens has been providing exceptional service through Penmac. With a passion for education and a dedication to hard work, Owens has enjoyed an exciting career. He first joined the Penmac team part time in 2008, while attending school at Missouri State University. In 2009, Owens spent a year away from Penmac to teach elementary and middle school. He returned to Penmac as a staffing specialist in 2010, and completed his last degree in 2011. With an employment background in hospitality management, and multiple degrees, Owens is truly an expert across fields. President Elect of the West Plains Sunrise Rotary Club and a West Plains Chamber Ambassador, Owens is passionate about his community. Penmac promoted Owens to senior staffing specialist in 2014, and to assistant branch manager in 2018. “Matt’s promotion to branch manager is a natural next step,” Regional Manager Deanna McNew said. “He is an outstanding employee.”

“The best thing about my job is how every day is a new and rewarding challenge,” Owens said. “We have an opportunity to help others be successful – whether they are job-seekers looking for a better career, or a business needing more workers. Penmac, which has more than 30 branches in nine states, employs approximately 175 in-house staff, prioritizes promoting from within whenever possible. Nearly half of Penmac’s managers started in a staffing specialist role.

Penmac opened the branch in West Plains in 1994 to help businesses find quality candidates and to help job seekers find employment to meet their needs.
