Previously serving as the Landmark community bank president in Houston, Mo., Eric Wells has been selected to serve as Landmark’s southern Missouri district president, a newly formed role that assumes responsibilities regarding business development and managing the commercial line of business for the Houston, Licking, Mountain View, and Birch Tree, Mo., markets.

Wells began working for Landmark Bank in 2002 at the West Plains location. After three years of consumer lending, he stepped away from Landmark Bank but was rehired in 2007 as community bank president in Houston, a position he held until assuming the role of southern Missouri district president on Jan. 1, 2019.

“Eric has done a great job of leading our Houston bank and serving the local community. We are excited to see him expand his role as district president,” said Landmark Bank-Southern Missouri Regional President Steve Vines.

Started as a family business more than 100 years ago, Landmark Bank began as a single branch in Mountain View, Missouri, and has since grown to serve customers in communities across Missouri, Texas and Oklahoma.
