What FFA Means to Me
by Braxten Gott, Liberty Chapter FFA President
FFA means a lot of different things to me. It’s a second family to most who are in it and a safe place for you to be yourself and make connections with other members in FFA. There are multiple lessons that FFA can teach you throughout your years in it, such as learning responsibility, hard work, and discipline to better yourself, not just in that moment in time, but for the rest of your life. FFA has opened so many doors and opportunities for me that I could have never discovered on my own. The bonds you get to make with others and the friendships I've made are among the best I could ask for in life.
FFA has taught me a lot about myself in the years I've been in it, and has given me confidence when it comes to speaking to and presenting myself to others. FFA has set a higher standard for me in academics, personal choices, and everything that reflects on me. FFA has opened up a gateway of opportunity for me to be able to learn more information about different agricultural products and services all around the country that we use every day, but didn’t realize how much work it takes to make the products and what goes into the process of making the everyday items that we use.
FFA has opened my eyes to a whole world of possibilities, including the management side of livestock, agribusiness, and the production side of livestock across different species.
