Calls for Service
October 20
Corporal Travis Weaver received information about an ongoing narcotics investigation. He located the vehicle involved in the investigation and conducted a traffic stop on US Highway 63. While conducting the traffic stop, he obtained consent to search the vehicle and located approximately 1 pound of suspected methamphetamine. He arrested the driver and passenger and transported them to the Howell County Sheriff's Office pending formal charges.
Deputy Paden Turnbull arrested an individual on an outstanding warrant.
Deputy Turnbull responded to Ozarks Healthcare for a reported sexual assault that occurred in Douglas County. The report will be forwarded to Douglas County.
Corporal Weaver responded to the area of County Road 2870 in Mountain View for the report of a runaway juvenile.
Deputy Kory Taylor received a call for service in regard to threats.
October 21
ORP Fugitive Task Force Officers spoke to Missouri State Probation and Parole office in West Plains regarding a probationer with a warrant. They took the subject into custody on county road 7370 without incident and transported them to HCSO Detention Center for booking.
ORP Task Force Officers along with Howell County Deputies traveled to a residence on State Route OO to execute an arrest warrant. They located the subject sitting in a truck and removed them and took them into custody without incident.
Sgt. Logan Wake received a report from West Plains Police Department regarding sodomy or attempted sodomy with a victim less than 12 years old. The case is under investigation.
Deputy Avery Stolba conducted a warrant arrest on County Road 8240, West Plains.
Deputy Stolba responded to an address on State Route N, Pomona, for a trespassing call. He trespassed the individual from the property.
Deputy Stolba conducted a warrant arrest on State Route 17, West Plains.
Deputy Stolba conducted an investigative stop on a vehicle on Paula Dr., West Plains. He arrested the passenger of the vehicle on multiple warrants out of the West Plains Police Department.
October 22
Deputy Nicholas Barslow assisted the Missouri Children's Division in the area of Private Road 6350, West Plains.
Deputy First Class Robert Malone took a report of stealing. His investigation found the matter to be civil.
October 23
Deputy Barslow responded to a report of an animal bite in the area of County Road 5090.
Deputy Barslow took a call for a theft.
Deputy Tyler West made an arrest in the area of Private Road 1830 for possession of controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid.
Deputy Michael Pauly received a call to meet a DFS investigator at OZH parking lot reference a child sexual assault case.
October 24
Deputy Barnes received a call for service in West Plains in regard to a domestic disturbance. He arrested and transported one subject to Howell County Jail pending formal charges.
October 25
Deputy Kyle Hambelton responded to State Route 14 for a domestic incident. No charges will be pursued.
