Melvin Kenneth Dickinson

Melvin Kenneth Dickinson, age 82, passed away on April 8, 2023, at his home, in Mountain View, Missouri. He was born on September 7, 1940, to Kenneth James and Eva Iona (Miller) Dickinson in Caribou, Maine. 
Melvin was united in marriage to Evelyn Louise Johnson on September 23, 1990, in Santa Ana, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Eva Dickinson; four brothers, Roger, Ronald, Gerald, and Darrell; one sister, Brenda Dickinson; and one sister-in-law, Mary Dickinson.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Evelyn Dickinson; one son, Anthony K. Moore; one brother, Dana Dickinson and wife, Debbie; one sister-in-law, Rebecca Dickinson; a granddaughter, Caitlin Sirois; and two great-granddaughters, Ember and Harper Wasson.
Melvin was a member of First Baptist Church in Mountain View. He loved Bible study and always talked about his relationship with Jesus to others. Melvin proudly served in the United States Navy for twelve years. He loved yard work and his puppy, Nickey. Melvin enjoyed supporting the Awana Kids Program, a Bible curriculum for children.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, with Pastor Jeremiah Nicholas officiating. Visitation was held prior to the service from 2-3:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery, Mountain View.
