Larry Dean Willis

Larry Dean Willis, age 81, passed away on March 2, 2024, at his home in West Plains, Missouri. Larry was born on February 12, 1943, in Jackson County, Missouri, to Harold Vernon and Anna Lou (Hubbard) Willis.

 

Larry married Judith Dianne Porter, and to this union, four children were born Debbie, Jeff, James, and Patrick.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Anna Willis; two sisters, Bonnie Louise LaBarbara and Betty Jo Ann McCain; and one brother, Robert Harold Willis.

 

Larry is survived by his wife, Judy Willis; four children, Debbie Wake and husband, Lewis, Jeff Willis and wife, Vickie, James Willis, and Patrick Willis and wife, Kate; two sisters, Pam Holler and Carolyn Nicholl; 8 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

 

He loved his family, the Lord, and fishing. He was proud of all that his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids have and will accomplish. Larry was a deacon, teacher, all around handyman for the church he loved. This was in service for his Lord. He is loved and will be missed.

 

Memorial services were held at Chapel Hill Church, Mountain View, Missouri, with James Willis officiating under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View.
