Carol Ann Maloy

Carol Ann Maloy, a resident of Willow Springs, passed away Tuesday May 28, 2024, at West Vue Nursing home in West Plains. She was born to Augustus and Grace (Reed) Merkenschlager in Cochecton, New York and was 81 years old.

Carol graduated from Lake Huntington High and not long after met George L. Maloy. On March 10, 1962, Carol and George were married in Florida. She worked for over 20 years as a Junior Health Physics Technician at nuclear power plants nationwide. Carol was a member of, and faithfully attended, Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was an avid shopper and antique hunter. She also loved to play cards with her friends and family, especially canasta and solitaire. She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents, Augustus and Grace; and her granddaughter, Danielle Mullins.

She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Wright and Connie Chiazawom; and her sons, Damon Maloy and Joseph Maloy. She is further survived by 10 grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Carol will be held Tuesday, June 4, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Willow Funeral Home, LLC. A graveside service will be held for Carol at the Maloy Family Farm located at 1905 State Route P in Willow Springs, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 11:00 AM with pastor Duane Fine officiating.
