Willow Springs Salvation Army Red Kettle Drive

The Willow Springs Salvation Army Board announces the 2024 Kettle Drive which began Tuesday, Nov. 26 and Wednesday, Nov. 27 for this holiday season. After the remainder of November into December, the kettles will be manned each Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. until the December 21 at Town & Country Market, G&W Market, Willow Springs Tractor Supply and Waggoner's True Value. There will be counter cans at various businesses in Willow Springs as well.

The support of local churches; G&W, Town & Country Supermarkets; Waggoner's True Value; Willow Springs Tractor Supply; Ferguson and Lakeland Drug Stores; Dollar Tree; Subway; and H&M Western Store will have kettles for cash donations.

Last year $8,100.00 was raised, reports the report. With the retirement of Father Sherman Wall and several other board members, the board needs to refresh the volunteer staff.

Around 24 volunteers are needed daily for the kettles, which results in the need for 240 people to man the kettles. If you wish to ring, call Larry Simon at 417-576-1810, Mike Coatney at 417-252-0406, or Danny Bradley at 417-274-6412.
