West Plains Chamber Christmas Parade Dec. 10

The Greater West Plains Area Chamber of Commerce invites everyone to come out and enjoy the Annual Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 10. The parade will begin at 4:00 p.m. on the corner of Porter Wagoner and Webster Street, travel down West Main Street around Court Square and end at East Main Street and St. Louis.  

Everyone in the parade will enter the lineup at the corner of Pennsylvania and Webster any time after 1:00 p.m. Volunteers will check you in and distribute judging numbers at this point. The lineup will travel up Webster Street. Since the lineup route will be blocked to regular traffic beginning at 1:00 p.m., parents delivering children to floats may drop them at the corner of Pennsylvania and Webster. Please be mindful of the pedestrians at this location. Parade volunteers will shuttle the children to floats on the parade route on vehicles courtesy of Mega Motorsports and Outpost Motorsports.

This year’s theme is “Christmas Memories”. Prizes will be awarded as follows; The Arlee Home Fashions-Grand Prize-$350.00, The AirMedCare Network-1st Place Commercial Prize-$300.00, The Hirsch Feed & Farm Supply of West Plains-2nd Place Commercial Prize-$200.00, The Brown Furniture & Appliance-1st Place Religious Prize-$300.00, The Don’s Auto Service-2nd Place Religious Prize-$200.00, The West Plains Optimist Club-1st Place Miscellaneous Prize-$300.00, The Community First Banking Company-2nd Place Miscellaneous Prize-$200.00. 37 North Realty Group, Ozarks Healthcare and Ramona Heiney-State Farm Insurance, jointly sponsor travel expenses for all bands participating in this year’s parade.  

This year’s parade supporters also include; Butler Heating & Air, Penmac Staffing Services, Brill Title Company, Towne & Country Lighting, Heart of the Ozarks Medical Equipment, Great Rivers Distributing, and Southern Bank.
