A series of 12 classes will meet once a month for a year to teach simple embroidery techniques to stitch quilt blocks of Missouri wildlife species. Examples include the spotted skunk, alligator snapping turtle, hell bender, and Ozark chinquapin.
At each class you will learn about the species, its history, habitat preferences and its importance to Missouri. Each attendee will receive the thread, fabric squares, block templates, and information cards to complete each project. Please be aware that signing up indicates you will attempt to attend all 12 meetings.
Classes will be at 6:00 p.m. the first or second Tuesday of each month beginning August 12 at the Ozark Regional office, 551 Joe Jones Blvd, West Plains.
