Kids Art Camp has returned to Willow Springs. The camp is sponsored by the Willow Springs Arts Council. This event is a community favorite as it allows children of all ages the opportunity to learn art concepts and techniques while having loads of fun.
The final session, July 16 through the 18, classes will be held for those who have completed sixth through twelfth Grades. Whitney Smith will be conducting a step-by-step acrylic painting class on July 16. Smith is an art teacher and has a fine arts degree. Then, retired high school art teacher, Ron McGarry will offer a painting class with oil pastels and a sculpture project on the last two days of this session. Both are excellent professionals with a love for art and sharing that with their students.
Each session will be held on the second floor of the Ferguson Building in Willow Springs and begin at 1:00 p.m. and go until 3:00 p.m. Classes are $5.00 per session per student. All supplies and snacks are included.
Students must be registered before class begins. Registration can be made at the Ferguson Building front desk during business hours. They are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
