Willow Springs students represent at 2023 Youth Art Month Capitol Exhibit

The 2023 Youth Art Month (YAM) Capitol Exhibit and ceremony was held at the Missouri State Capitol in Jefferson City.  The exhibit graces the third floor rotunda from mid February through March, with the kickoff ceremony February 28.
To celebrate March as Youth Art Month (YAM), the Missouri Art Education Association hosts an annual statewide Youth Art Month Exhibit. Each art teacher chooses four students and art pieces to represent their school.
Willow Springs Elementary Art Teacher Tiffany Green, chose four students to represent WSE. Those students were Ivye Brown, first grade; Lillian Mullins, third grade; Issabella Martin, and Jaylin Hogan, fourth grade. Ivye Brown won the Lower Elementary Divsiion K-2 award.
Youth Art Month is a national observance each March to emphasize the value of art education for all children and to encourage support for quality school art programs. It is a wonderful opportunity to join together in activities, big and small, to celebrate the value of youth art.
