West Plains School District school board to meet

The West Plains School District Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at the West Plains High School Library.
The meeting will begin with closed session at 5:00 p.m. and then go into open session at 5:30 p.m.
Items on the agenda for the meeting include new stuff inductions; WPMS student spotlight; approval of minutes from previous meeting; monthly finance report; approval request for resignations; approval request for employment and transfers of individuals as recommended by the superintendent; approval of program evaluation; payment of bills; payment of BURO bill; CSIP update; declare SMTI equipment surplus; adoption of Local Compliance Plan for Special Education; approval of OZH affiliation agreement-SWAT work experience; approval of boys/girls club memorandum of understanding; approval of 2023-2024 bus routes; review and update district wellness program; approval of cash basis accounting method beginning July 1, 2025; MSBA policy update; approval of joining "BuyBoard" National Purchasing Cooperative; building level reports; public relations and communications report; teaching and learning report; facility, human resources, security and capital projects report; federal programs and special education report; and superintendent's report.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
