Legislators Visit Howell Valley School

On December 13, the fourth-through-eighth-grade students at Howell Valley School in West Plains had the opportunity to learn first-hand what life is like as a public servant. Senator Karla Eslinger and Representative David Evans spent the afternoon talking with students in Mrs. Mary Burgess’ fourth-grade class about the purpose of government and the importance of putting people ahead of politics. Eslinger and Evans left the event very impressed by how engaged and interested the students were in learning about their work and how fortunate we are to have great schools like Howell Valley.
